Pediatric and Prenatal Chiropractic
Kids and Chiropractic
The first stress placed on a child’s spinal column is during the birthing process. Equally surprising is the fact that 26% of children surveyed at school reported a history of back pain. A child’s spine is frequently subjected to repeated forces in the process of learning to walk as well as a multitude of childhood mishaps, sports related injuries, and postural strains. Many adults that come to a chiropractor’s office show evidence of childhood in-juries to their spine that are a contributing factor for their pain today. This is why it is important to have your child’s spine checked regularly for any signs of spinal imbalances or misalignments.
Fortunately, chiropractic has had many positive results in treating some very common childhood maladies. In fact, a recent study showed that children under chiropractic care suffered from fewer ear infections than those whose parents sought medical care alone.

Chiropractic Care During Pregnancy
Chiropractic care also keeps you healthy during pregnancy and has been shown to aid in easing nausea, lowering time of labor and delivery, as well as relieving back, neck and other joint pain. We use an adjustable table that will allow us to safely adjust you at any stage of your pregnancy without additional pressure on your abdomen.

What should you expect at your first visit?
Thorough Examination
The doctors of Cool Creek Chiropractic will take a history, conduct physical, neurological, and orthopedic examinations. Chiropractic physicians spend a considerable amount of time assessing posture, examining the spine, testing reflexes, joint motion, and muscle strength. X-rays and other diagnostic images are taken when clinically necessary to locate vertebral dysfunction and to rule out disorders like tumors or fractures, which require the attention of other healthcare experts.
Neurospinal Screening
In addition to the very important spinal examination performed by the Doctor, Cool Creek Chiropractic utilizes the latest technology to identify areas of interference to your nervous system. This technology is certified by the Space Foundation and was developed for NASA to measure the effects of space on astronauts’ spines. The Insight Subluxation Station is a computerized, non-invasive, painless screening which consists of thermal, surface electromyology (SEMG), and heart rate variability scans to aid in locating the source of your discomfort so that the doctors at Cool Creek Chiropractic can better help.
Gentle, Specific Adjustments
The doctors of Cool Creek Chiropractic have extensive training in many different chiropractic techniques. This allows the doctors to tailor your care to your specific needs and preferences. Care is always taken to be sure that you are always comfortable with the care you receive.
